It’s the season of electrics and hybrids & has been raining SUV for long. Maserati tasted hybrid last year with their Ghibli & have now brought in a hybrid version of their very popular Levante. & you’ll know you’re looking at a Levante Hybrid because it comes in a new colour scheme, a new metallic, tri-coat colour called Azzurro Astro.
While it is the same when compared to the regular fossil fuel Levante & Levante S in terms of length, width & height (5005mm x 1981mm x 1693mm), it weighs less (2090 kg) than the 6 cylinder version. And with the electric battery placed in the rear, it offers better weight distribution because the weight of the battery helps optimally balance the mass of the car, without compromising the space inside or the load capacity.
The 4 cylinder, 2 litre engine is combined with a 48 volt hybrid system, so every time a Levante Hybrid is braking or decelerating, it is recovering energy. As for the important numbers:
